January 16, 2008
It’s now 2008, and well, it’s finally here, www.natelovett.com is finally up and running! I first and foremost have to thank my good buddy, James Farr, for helping me get this thing built.
Well, 2007 was a pretty good year for me. Not only did I do all of the art chores for James’ Xombie: Reanimated, through Devil’s Due, but I got to do work on some 80’s properties that I grew up watching, I did some licensing work on a GIJOE fire safety comic, and I got to color the previously unpublished issue 12 of Voltron, for Devil’s Due.
I also did some other coloring work. I colored the first issue of General Jack Cosmo and the Vampire Men of Korthos, for GJC Productions, and I got to color my good buddy Jeremy Dale’s work, on the story he did with Tim Seeley for POPGUN Vol 1, from Image Comics. Then back in August, I was one of a few people who made the DC Comic’s callback at Wizard World Chicago, and I’ve finally completed some sample pages to send off to them, (you can find those pages in the sequentials section).
But the best thing that happened to me in 2007, happened on June 1st. That was the day that my son Luke was born.
With as well as ’07 went for me, I’m hoping that getting this site up and running is a good sign of what’s to come for me in ’08. I’ve already got some projects in the works, and when I’m able to show stuff from them, I’ll be sure to upload them, and keep you posted. Until then, enjoy the site!
